SATURDAY, MAY 25: A SWEET DAY AT THE MARKET!

It's the Market's Day of the Honeybee - sample some local honey and taste honey drinks! For the kids we'll also have honeybee cutouts to take home. This sweet event takes place at both market locations: at George & Third as well as at the year-round location on 6th Avenue at the green building behind the Keg. 

SATURDAY, MAY 18: VICTORIA DAY CELEBRATIONS!

Get into the spirit of it and dress up as royalty - whatever takes your fancy. There will be kids' cornersfor the kids to make paper crowns at both locations on George & Third and at the Keg location. Drop by the Market for a food demonstration on how to integrate more vegetables in your diet - presentation starts at 12 noon at the George & Third location with Yvonna Breed of Marlinspike Gardens presenting.

SATURDAY, MAY 11 IS MOTHERS DAY AT THE MARKET

Sunday, May 12 is Mothers Day and Saturday, May 11 is Mothers Day At The Market. There will be tea and treats at the Third and George location, starting at 11:00am. It is a BYOTC (bring your own tea cup) event but we'll have cups for those who forgot to bring their cups :).

SATURDAY, MAY 4 IS THE START OF THE OUTDOOR MARKET SEASON

The market will be at two downtown locations: The Year-Round location (Indoors And Outdoors) at 1074-6th Avenue, behind the Keg Restaurant and outdoors only at Third and George! The Market is open from 8:30am to 2:00pm. Join us to greet the Honourable Shirley Bond and Councillor Cameron Stoltz for a free taste of the Market and a celebration of the new season at 10:30am at Geaorge and Third and at 11:00am at the year-round location at 6th Avenue.

The Prince George Farmers' Market Association is holding its AGM Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 3:00 pm after market hours at the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society (IMSS) building on 1270, 2nd Avenue, Prince George. Members will be notified in writing prior to the meeting. 

WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21!

Celebrate the first day of winter on Friday, December 21st! The Farmers’ Market at 1074 Sixth Avenue will be open from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Enjoy winter activities and crafts, music, snow sculptures, winter fashion show, hot drinks and eats, kids’ story times, and more in the City Hall area from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Lantern Walk begins at the Civic Centre Plaza at 6 p.m.

The Prince George Farmers’ Market is holding its Fall General Meeting on November 5, 7:00pm, at the College of New Caledonia. The room number will be posted at the main entrance. Voting members are urged to attend, public is welcome.

OCTOBER 20: GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW MARKET

The Year Round Prince George Farmers’ Market has moved to its new home and is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Prince George on 1074 6th Avenue, behind the Keg Restaurant.

With the loss of its former indoor location on Third Avenue and George Street, the Market has now found its new home for the displaced indoor vendors. You will find a wide range of local meats including Bison and Beef, locally grown vegetables and salad greens, breads and bakings, eggs, jams & jellies, preserves, salsa, honey, fair trade coffee, arts & crafts and jewellery, soaps, tooled leather, as well as a coffee bar and hot food!

Join us October 20, during the first indoor market of the season at our new location on 6th Avenue, behind the Keg Restaurant, and enter the draw for a Market Basket valued at $200.
