Prince George Farmers' Market at BCNE

The BCNE, held annually since 1912, is proudly presented by the Prince George Agricultural and Historical Association. The first Prince George Exhibition was held 3 years before the City of Prince George was incorporated and the same year the Titanic sank, the first Prince George Exhibition was held! According to Ted Williams, one of Prince George’s most notable local historians, “A few men met, had a few drinks, put their straw hats together and came up with the idea of a fall fair”. They hoped that townspeople and farmers in the district would exhibit, compete, enjoy themselves and draw the community together.

The Prince George Farmers’ Market Association will be participating, in the spirit of community, at the Exhibition on August 16th, 17th and 18th, with a display of goods and products.

Farm Fest/Fall Fest

Farm Fest Prince George, started in 2018 to celebrate local agriculture and food production in Prince George and surrounding regions. This one day event brings together local and regional farmers, food producers and other local vendors in a family fun event showcasing local produce, food, live music, visual art, and fun and games. Farm Fest provides engagement in the community to learn more about agriculture in our northern climate and to connect with local growers, farmers institutes and outlets for further education and involvement, such as workshops and online resources.

This year, Downtown PG will be collaborating with the organizers to create a larger event, Fall Fest, that will impact a greater part of the city’s downtown area.

Prince George Farmers' Market Harvestfest

A brain-child of our President, Philip Myatovic, the first Harvestfest was held in September of 2015. Celebrating the harvest is natural for farmers and this event is an opportunity to bring the Market community of vendors and patrons together.

This year promises to be the best one ever! The date has been set, October 12th, the venue is central, 425 Brunswick Street, and we have booked one of the best local bands, The Barefoot Fridays! Tickets will be on sale soon!

“We enjoy the atmosphere. It's a great place to shop, browse and socialize.”

“Wonderful atmosphere. ..great produce....super friendly cream...leafy greens and hot food.”

“Awesome place to get weekly groceries, find great products, listen to weekly live music, and grab some delicious hot foods! I go there every week now.”
